Newspaper Gift Wrapping!

Last year while at the grocery store, I was approached about getting the Sunday Paper. I could think of a hundred reasons why I should not have subscribed…I don’t read the news, I google it:). The coupons thing did not interest me, because they never apply to the foods we eat and it is exhausting to keep up with. But this man offered a $10 gift card to the grocery store and a free subscription for a month!!! $10…do you know the damage I can do at the grocery store with $10 (with a dripping hint of sarcasm)!

Yes I am a sucker for free gifts:)

So I signed up and surprise, surprise…I did not cancel the paper until a year later! So I scoured the craft websites and pinterest, for ideas on minimizing and ridding my closet of my stack of newspaper, still in it’s plastic wrap!

No…I am not a hoarder! Although somedays I wonder:)

The newspaper, is definitely a dying (if not already dead) purchase! So much so, that I am still getting the paper with no charge…every Sunday!!! I keep calling and telling them that I have cancelled…”yes ma’am, it shows you cancelled and you will not be billed!”…

I have now accepted my lot in life…I will have a newspaper on my door and I will not be able to throw it away!

So instead, I craft:) Which is very easy to find useful crafts, since we are gift wrapping:)

I made gift bags…I will put up a tutorial tomorrow!

I am making wrapping paper…here are some of the examples!

I used acrylic paint, mostly diluted with water. One tutorial says to iron it…I just used it right when it was dry. I just browsed christmas categories on Pinterest, and this is what I was inspired to create:)

Summer time health!

Calling everyone who wants to feel great this summer…and keep up with their kids;)

We have had only two weeks of summer and we pretty much live in our bathing suits! Pool, beach, backyard sprinklers and slip n slide….I am one of those odd parents who like to play in the dirt with their kids, climb trees and feel comfortable in my bathing suit, enough to slip n slide:)

I did an ab challenge this last month, that ends tomorrow. I’m not going to lie, so the last week I did not do the whole workout and for the most part I ate average….not great and not bad!

Now I am starting up a challenge….the Beach Bum Program! I will be starting July 1st with my husband:)

30 days of eating clean, moving, squats and feeling great! 30 days….you can start whenever you want! Let me know if you are interested, or if you know someone who is!
