Egg-tastic!

Today I made an upcycled easter dress for the Kid, out of an skirt and dress that were mine. I started on the Boy’s button up shirt (which I have never made one before)

And now I’m boiling eggs at 7:45…yes it is late, I am a last minute kind of mom who now has explain to her very excited daughter why she is unable to decorate her eggs tonight since it’s bedtime:(

Tomorrow! We will decorate eggs, fill plastic eggs and I have to go to the store and buy the English Kids’ basket stuff… each year they get new bathing suits and sandals. It’s a strange tradition that I kept from my mom. I always loved seeing what my mom would pick out for us!

What are some of your Easter traditions?

  1. This is such a cute idea. I always forget about the hard boiled eggs too. I usually fill my kids baskets with swim stuff too. This year James 3 is super easy, chipwrecked DVD and Little Tikes Basketball Hoop. Do you have any ides for my older son Chris 13? My favorite part is hidding the plastic eggs, but my kids age range makes it hard to decide what to fill them with…

  2. In the morning we would wake up and we had to find our baskets before we found the eggs…I swear she did this until we were in high school. I am the oldest of 3 and when I was “too cool” for easter, she let me hide the eggs with her! Have fun and Happy Easter!
