Newspaper Gift Wrapping!

Last year while at the grocery store, I was approached about getting the Sunday Paper. I could think of a hundred reasons why I should not have subscribed…I don’t read the news, I google it:). The coupons thing did not interest me, because they never apply to the foods we eat and it is exhausting to keep up with. But this man offered a $10 gift card to the grocery store and a free subscription for a month!!! $10…do you know the damage I can do at the grocery store with $10 (with a dripping hint of sarcasm)!

Yes I am a sucker for free gifts:)

So I signed up and surprise, surprise…I did not cancel the paper until a year later! So I scoured the craft websites and pinterest, for ideas on minimizing and ridding my closet of my stack of newspaper, still in it’s plastic wrap!

No…I am not a hoarder! Although somedays I wonder:)

Summer bucket list!

It’s that time again….time to plan out our summer!

I sat down the other day and thought to myself, “how in the heck am I going to entertain these kids ALL summer?”

So I went to my friend Google:) Google, what are some rabbit trails that you can put me on today? Of course I started with ‘things to do in the summer with kids’. And somehow ended with ‘hiking trails in California’.

So here is a beginning to our bucket list:
-beach
Getty museum
-take a train
-movies in the park
-pool
-swim lessons
-make kool-aid play dough
Griffith observatory
-getaway in Palm Springs
Los Angeles arboretum
Weiner races at Los Alamitos race track
regal cinemas summer movies

We will be adding more to this list coming soon and I will post a picture of our framed list!

Here is last years’ summer bucket list:)

Forget Soaring Over California!

I am living it!!!

Ok Soaring Over California IS one of my favorites rides at California Adventure…but I get to live it! Driving through California!!

I was driving through Moreno Valley and I could smell a hint of citrus…now silly me I look around my car, thinking I must have brought an orange with my apple (which sounded pretty good at the time). But no orange in my car… actually I was surrounded by oranges…I was driving through an orange grove 🙂

Then I was driving up to the wedding site that I’m attending today, in Cherry Valley…and it was beautiful and sunny! But in the background are mountains laced with SNOW!

I love California…why would I ever thinking of moving out of here?

What do you love about your state?
